The first thing that makes an Italian cut suit differ is that V shaped look that they possess. The shoulders on the jacket will have padded shoulders that enhance the male figure to give the wearer a broader shoulder look whereas standard business suits have a softer shoulder and minimal padding. The tailoring of an Italian cut suit is designed to be highly tailored and fit the body almost like a glove looking like the suit was made for you but an ordinary business suit has a looser fit that isn’t as flattering. Originally an Italian style suit would have a closed back design but side vents have made a huge comeback so they have been incorporated into the suit jacket which really looks great when the jacket is Italian cut. The pants are also a feature as well that did not get ignored with a better tailored fit and usually come with either a single or double pleat front whereas on an American style business suit, the pants will be loose fitting but with a flat front totally lacking in any style compared to the look of an Italian designed suit.
