Depending on the type of white ensemble you’re wearing, you need to wear the right type of white shoes on your feet. Now in some circumstances, like wearing a white suit, you may wear a black pair. Make sure they are well shined dress shoes but take my word for it. Stick to white. It will just look better. Now if you’re going the white suit or tuxedo route, you should certainly wear a pair of brand new white dress shoes. Yes, new.
Don’t even think about pulling out those old beat up white suede bucks out of the bowels of your closet that you wore back in 1962. You are wearing white for a reason. You need to go new or stay home. Put on a pair of new white dress shoes to go with your white outfit. That is how you will look your best for the occasion.
Special Occasions Were Made for White
If the occasion on the other hand is a more casual event or a party where you can wear a white walking suit or outfit. I would highly recommend wearing some sort of white loafers whether they are a Gucci style white loafer or a driving moccasin white loafer. Any of those could and should suffice. If the white outfit you’re going to wear is a short sleeve linen outfit, I would certainly go with the white driving moccasin with out socks of course.
Now some of the walking suits depending on the style may look a little more dressy than others. Beach Weddings these days have become more and more popular where instead of making a huge Wedding where you invite 200 people that you barely know and won’t see until the next big event. You invite only your closest friends and family to a destination on an island somewhere tropical. White outfits are almost always the choice for the men attending. This is where the all white linen outfit or linen suit is the perfect thing to wear.
Depending how fancy you can go. The groom most of the time with wear the all white linen suit. The groomsmen may also wear a linen suit or they will wear the linen shirt and pants sets in white. Either way, everyone will look great and have an even greater time.
All White Parties
I can’t tell you exactly where this trend started and I haven’t investigated it yet but let me tell you. The all white party is a thing. As a result, people all across the country are having these all white parties where everyone that goes is wearing all white outfits. The men are wearing something white and the women are usually wearing some sort of all white dress or ensemble. These all white parties let you have a choice of how dressy you want to do it.
Usually I recommend going a bit more casual. I wouldn’t wear an actual white suit to a white party. You can if you wish. I would either go with perhaps a white blazer maybe or wear a white walking suit or leisure suit to keep it casual. The whole purpose is wearing wearing white and looking nice as well. Make sure you of course wear the proper white shoes for the outfit that you’re going to wear.
The White Short Set
This is pretty much self explanatory. The white short set of course is a white outfit with shorts instead of pants and more often than not are made of linen fabric.
These all white short sets are of course Summer or Tropic items to wear for some Beach Weddings where even a pants outfit is too formal. Short sets are even good to wear on Cruise vacations as well when the ship has those tropical parties on board. Just throw it on and some white casual loafers and you’ll look great.
